I forgot about the warranty

When I got a new indoor air handling system in my old home, I thought I was good to go for a few years.

Things were finally working out! I had a job, a home and a working indoor climate control system.

From the moment my heating and cooling technician arrived with the brand new AC and furnace and a team of HVAC technicians ready to complete the installation, I thought all my troubles were over. I didn’t really think that there was another thing that I had to worry about with my indoor climate or continual lifelong comfort. I went to work each day, watched TV, and slept soundly during all the moments in between. But what I never considered was the ongoing health of my indoor air quality control system. I certainly never considered that the brand new HVAC system was going to need additional professional attention… or that the ongoing maintenance and service appointments were required to keep myself out of bankruptcy. It turns out that indoor air quality control systems should not be ignored. If you want to operate your heating and cooling unit each day, you should take care of it. If you forget professional service appointments for your indoor air conditioning and heating units, you aren’t going to have a manufacturer warranty to count on anymore. If anything goes wrong with the expensive high tech AC unit or furnace, you’re going to be paying out of pocket. I figured all of this out the worst way when my HVAC units suddenly stopped creating clean, comfortable indoor air a few months ago. In a flash, I realized that I had never called an HVAC repair service for the system. I also never registered the warranty. Now it looks like I’m buying a whole new HVAC system this week.
