It had been two years since I had heater maintenance done.
My electric heating system was running smoothly, but when I read about what took place during an HVAC service plan, I realized the importance of heating and AC products.
My next call went to the heating dealership, and they said they would send a serviceman to my house within the hour. The HVAC tech arrived just on time. Even though I was sure that he knew what he came to do, I still felt the urge to clarify that it was not a heating repair. He gently nodded his head and set off to work on the heater. When he was done with the boiler, I asked him if he could stay for muffins and tea since it was what I was having, but he shook his head, indicating no but with a smile on his face. He had not spoken a single word since he came to my house, and I wondered if I had offended him in any way, and I found myself apologizing. That is when he removed his phone and started typing while I was standing there, shocked by the flow of events. He then put his phone on speaker, and that is when I found out that he was non-verbal, but he could hear me. He also said he could take the muffin with him since he still had a furnace filter to replace a wireless thermostat to install and oversee the installation of heated floors in another home. I packed him two banana muffins and thanked him for working on my furnace/heater installation. As I referred to them, I was proud of the heating industry for hiring people with different capabilities.
