Back when I was a kid I was forced to go to Sunday school.
- My parents were very religious and I was not.
But when you are a kid you have to obviously do whatever your parents tell you to do and not complain. I did not mind going to Sunday school though at times. Especially when the weather was freezing cold in the winter. This was because the school had the best central heating and air conditioning system around! In most schools at this time heating and cooling was something that was provided by furnaces and huge window air conditioning units. But at this church school it was not like that. They actually had a central heating and air conditioning system! They took pride in making sure that the building was nice and comfortable to everyone that had to be in it. Both the teachers and the kids. This school was not only used for religious Sundays, but it was also a regular school during the week. I did not go there. I went to a public school that had horrible heating and air conditioning in it. So going to Sunday school was much welcomed just for the fact of being able to enjoy some quality central heating and sometimes quality air conditioning towards the end of the school year. They operated the same as regular school with no classes in the summer. I did not really pay attention in Sunday school cause I had no interest, but man oh man that central heating and air conditioning system they had was worth being there for!
