I have had my cat Coilie for about 15 years now.
I first got her when I was just a child.
I love her so much, she has been with me for most of my life, and I don’t know what I would do without her. I know that she is getting older, and one day I will need to say goodbye, but for now, I will continue to love her more and more each day. I remember when I first got Coilie, she was a surprise from my dad, who was an HVAC technician before he retired. One day, while cleaning out and removing built up debris from the A/C coils, he looked over, and he saw a baby kitten staring up at him from behind the condenser unit. My dad has a big heart, and he couldn’t leave the kitten alone. He asked the homeowner if she wanted it, but she said no, so my dad kept her. After he was done fixing the HVAC unit, he loaded her up in a box, and she rode around with him in his truck to his other service appointments. My dad finally got home around 7:00 pm that night, and he walked in with a baby kitten in his arms. I screamed for joy because I always wanted a cat, and it was so cool that my dad found Coilie. He told us the story of how he found her while he performed HVAC service in someone’s yard, and so when he asked me what I will name the cat, I thought it made sense to call her Coilie – named after the A/C coils that my dad was cleaning when he found her.
