I recognize like space heating systems get a awful reputation, when really, they are not all that bad.
In fact, I have a space furnace and I like mine! I have consistently been sensitive to cold, and although I have a central HVAC system, it has never warmed me as much as it should. I started looking for solutions, and that is when I heard about part heaters. I was immediately interested, but when I told our mother about it, she was immediately against the idea. Apparently she had an part furnace sometime back, and it almost caught on fire! She came in to find it smoking from the outlet and unjammed it before it caused a fire, she warned me to never get a portable heating unit, although I didn’t listen. I did our research first of course, and after asking our mother a few more questions, I realized she was doing some things wrong, and that very caused the fire. She had numerous main troubles, a single, she left the space heating unit on all of the time, and left it unattended. Two, she jammed it in using an extension cord. All of the above it certainally warns you not to do, and so after carefully studying the safety directions I purchased our heating unit, and I have yet to have any troubles. I absolutely like our heating device, and it makes me recognize awful for anyone who is scared of getting a single just because of the stories they’ve heard. I mean, there are horror stories for everything, but as long as you take precaution, you should be fine.
