I live with my dog Marley, and not to be biased, but she is the sweetest and most darling dog ever. She cuddles with me every night, and wakes me up by licking my face on those mornings when I oversleep. She loves to play with her furry toys all day, and will roll over on her back so that she could get belly rubs. I give the best belly rubs ever because she kicks her right leg letting me know she’s enjoying it. I have never been away from Marley for more than 3 days, and if I do leave her, I ask my sister to watch her while I travel. Marley loves my sister Lisa, and she loves to play with her kids. So, she feels right at home when she is at Lisa’s house. I have a major conference coming up in 2 months, and it requires that I am there for 30 days. At first, I wanted to skip the conference, but my boss insisted on it. My company has already booked a corporate apartment for my stay. The problem is, the corporate housing isn’t pet-friendly, and that poses a problem for me. I don’t want to leave Marley for 30 days with my sister, and I am definitely not leaving her in one of those doggy hotels. I have considered getting an in-home pet sitter, but it still means that I would not see Marley for 30 days, and I am not sure if I can handle that. I did a quick search and I was able to find a pet-friendly corporate housing, and for a small fee, I could bring Marley. I presented this to my boss, and he agreed to cancel the original lease and rent the pet-friendly corporate apartment instead. Trust me, that was a huge relief.
