I was going to see our friend last week, & I saw there was a Heating & Air Conditioning supplier service van in her driveway.
I asked if she was having a problem with her air conditioner unit. She told myself and others it was her grandson, & she wanted to practice her maintenance skills by working on her A/C unit & oil furnace. She had recently graduated from Heating & Air Conditioning technical school, & she was waiting for her certification to arrive. While waiting, her boss told him to practice all she could by hitting up her family & friends. Anytime she could get access to a oil furnace or air conditioner unit, it was better than resting around & doing nothing. When her grandson came into the house, I thought she was fooling myself and others & it had to be an early March Fool’s joke. I couldn’t understand why they would let a twelve-year-old be an Heating & Air Conditioning specialist. When I told this to Molly, she laughed. She told myself and others she was almost twenty, but she looked young. I began thinking about how old I was getting, thinking that a twenty-year-old man could be twelve. Molly & I sat there for a while when I asked if she wanted to look at our air conditioner unit. She called him into the house & asked if she was interested. She thanked myself and others for allowing him to inspect it & asked if I also wanted him to change the air filter while she was at it. I thanked & told him to do whatever she felt was necessary. She saved myself and others from calling the Heating & Air Conditioning supplier for the inspection.
