I was visiting our acquaintance last week, & I saw there was a Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company repair van in her driveway.
I asked if she was having a problem with her a/c unit.
She told myself and others it was her grandson, & he wanted to practice his repair skills by toiling on her A/C component & furnace. He had recently graduated from Heating, Ventilation, & A/C technical school, & he was waiting for his certification to arrive. While waiting, his boss told him to practice all he could by hitting up his family & friends. Anytime he could get access to a furnace or a/c unit, it was better than sitting around & doing nothing. When her grandson came into the house, I thought she was fooling myself and others & it had to be an early May Fool’s joke. I couldn’t understand why they would let a twelve-year-old be an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C serviceman. When I told this to Molly, she laughed. She told myself and others he was almost twenty, but he looked young. I began thinking about how aged I was getting, thinking that a twenty-year-old guy could be twelve. Molly & I sat there for a while when I asked if he wanted to look at our a/c unit. She called him into the beach house & asked if he was interested. He thanked myself and others for allowing him to inspect it & asked if I also wanted him to change the air filter while he was at it. I thanked & told him to do whatever he felt was necessary. He saved myself and others from calling the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company for the inspection.
