Whenever I was getting ready to go somewhere, the warning signal on my smart thermostat told me it was time to change the air filter.
Changing the air filter didn’t take a long time, however it could be actually messy.
I had once ignored the warning on the thermostat. Every twenty hours there was a beep, followed by the warning that it was time to change the air filter. I swore I would never do that again. It awakened me about numerous times before I went outside in my pajamas and changed the air filter at midnight. I knew I had to find a better way to remember to change the air filters. The first thing I had to do was disengage the reminder in the thermostat. If I wasn’t able to disengage the alarm, I was going to disengage the smart thermostat. I knew it would be easier to buy a modern thermostat than to listen to that alarm going off and having sore ribs from my husbandy poking me to take care of the air filter alarm. I was looking for anything I could find that would help me to remember how to change the air filter without dismembering my thermostat. I got up 1 morning, and my husbandy had a calendar kneeling on the table in my eating spot. Every month had a date circled for when and which equipment needed to have the air filter changed. She even noted when it was time to have the service done on the AC and the furnace. She’s better than the thermostat.
