When purchasing an air conditioner unit, check your seer.

I wanted to have a new air conditioner unit installed in our house.

I wanted to get some information & hints on what kind of A/C unit I should purchase & what I should know about A/C units.

The one thing I kept having said was to check the SEER before purchasing an air conditioner unit. I knew what a seer was, although I didn’t know what SEER was. After talking to the local Heating & Air Conditioning supplier, I was told that SEER was the way they measured air conditioner units for energy efficiency. The higher the SEER. the more efficient the air conditioner unit was. I was expecting numbers in the upper nineties, & not around 7 or slightly higher. When I saw the 7.5 rating on one air conditioner unit, I thought they may have had a typo. I called the Heating & Air Conditioning supplier a second time & asked if they could send an Heating & Air Conditioning specialist to the house. I couldn’t wait to talk to the Heating & Air Conditioning specialist & find out more about SEER. When the Heating & Air Conditioning tech finally arrived, she explained about SEER & how a rating of 7.5 was genuinely good. The two of us went over strange air conditioner units, & she told myself and others what she recommended for our house. I was grateful to finally talk to someone who would answer our questions & help myself and others with our purchase., however purchasing an air conditioner unit shouldn’t be so difficult. It should be more care about buying something from Amazon. You point, click & pay, & if it doesn’t fit, send it back.
