I always worried about my one son… He is a entirely bright young man, and has many talents, however some of the works he has mentioned had myself and others worried for his future.
He always wanted to be a singer, and while I usually strongly encourage my children to follow their dreams, not so much in this case, but even though he has talents in several other areas, singing is not one of them.
He sounds similar to a sick man attempting to sing, it’s not pretty, then not only that, however the fact that being a songsian comes with high competition, and usually only the best make it through, only increased my problems. I tried to let him down gently, and let him know why it would be a bad idea. At first, he didn’t accept it really well, but later on, he agreed and told myself and others I was right. As an adult, he decided to go into the Heating as well as A/C work field, and I couldn’t improve more. Heating as well as A/C specialists make a fine pay, and Heating as well as A/C repairmen are always in high demand, so I knew he would be safe in his job prospects. But I wanted to make sure he was cheerful as well, and not just choosing a job to make myself and others cheerful. Thankfully, he did love repairing heating and cooling systems, and did love his job as a Heating as well as A/C specialist overall. As an adult, he later told myself and others he was glad I convinced him out of being a songsian, because he couldn’t imagine embarrassing himself in front of almost everyone.
