They make it feel like you are receiving air conditioning the whole time
When coming into the spring season this year, it almost feels like we skipped spring and went straight to the summer. I mean seriously, just the other week it was in the 30s and 40s and then the temperature leaped all the way up to the 70s and 80s. I mean, the temperatures drop to around 50 some nights, but it still gets so warm in the day! My wife has been outside working in the warmer temperatures though mostly working on her gardening. Because it was so hot, I kept telling her to come in from time to time to enjoy some air conditioning breaks. The AC system we have is highly energy efficient and it keeps the house perfectly cool. I feel terrible when I’m in the house with such good air conditioning while she is out slaving away in the garden and feeling overheated. I realized if she were to collapse from heat stroke or something, it would be my own fault. So I found a solution in the form of a couple of ice vests that provide cooling. I got two of them so she could rotate using them while the other was in the freezer. She could do this in between coming in and out of the house. The ice vests basically have to be kept frozen and they have special gel pockets that remain frozen for a long duration of time. The frozen gel pockets provide cooling while you are working outside in the hot weather. They make it feel like you are receiving air conditioning the whole time. When she first wore the ice vest, she was amazed. She said she didn’t even need to come back inside for AC breaks because she was so comfortable.
