The home was already equipped with a nice boiler system and all the piping and radiators were in good shape.
We have a couple of cats and of course, taking care of their cat boxes has always been something of a pain. Of course, we love our cats so it’s just something that we do for them and we make sure they eat well and always have fresh water to drink. In our past home, we had the cat boxes set up in the basement. It was always fairly cool in the basement even when the AC system wasn’t working. Of course in the winter season, we had to keep the basement warm by using the ventless gas furnace down there. Every year we would have the HVAC professional take care of that furnace by giving it a good cleaning and a tune-up, and he also worked on the central HVAC regularly as well. Well, now we have sold that house and moved to a home in the country. This home is rather large and the HVAC situation was quite different. There were a bunch of window AC units in different rooms, but the heating system was very nice. The home was already equipped with a nice boiler system and all the piping and radiators were in good shape. For the AC though, I decided to remove all those window AC units and put them in storage while an HVAC professional installed a ductless multi-split HVAC system. We also had to figure out what to do with the cats. We ended up using a huge closet off the hall for the cats to have their cat boxes and food. It’s actually a good spot for them, because you can hardly even smell the cat boxes, you just have to check on them regularly and make sure the cats have food and water, but they seem to enjoy the home just as much as we do.
