Too hot out at the camper

My family and I love to go camping during the summer.

It’s one of our favorite things to do together as a family.

We usually go around five or six times every year. Normally, the weather around here is not too bad. We usually have pretty mild temperatures during the summer. This summer, however, it has been unusually hot. We have had temperatures in the high 90s for most of the summer and that is just brutal. With the humidity around here the way that it is, it makes it feel like you are living inside of a rainforest. Anyway, we didn’t let that stop us from going camping. We knew that we were going to have an air conditioner inside of our camper so we thought that we would just brave it this past weekend. The weather this weekend got up to 98 degrees, and it was super sunny. My son got a sunburn because he was swimming in the pond most of the day, and we were all really looking forward to going to bed in the nice cool air conditioning inside of the camper. However, when we went inside after we finished with dinner, that’s when we noticed that the air conditioning was not working. As a matter of fact, none of the lights were working either! There was some kind of problem going on with the power grid at the campground, and nobody had any air conditioning that night. It was a rough night. Part of the town, I felt like going and sleeping out in the truck with that air conditioning running.
