Of time without having a heating or air conditioning system. I think if I had to go a long time without having any kind of heat or cooling I would lose my mind! Especially with the area that I live in. The summer here can be absolutely brutal. I remember last summer my air conditioning stopped working and I was forced to stay in the hot house sweating to death. When the cooling system stopped working I did what any person would do and called for a heating and air conditioning maintenance person to come out and fix it. The problem was that I was not the only one that had an air conditioning system that was in need of repair, and in fact the heat and AC providers they’re pretty backed up with lots of people that also needed to have their air conditioning system fixed. It was during these moments that I was really wishing that I had a ductless mini split air conditioning system or a window air conditioning system. Any kind of portable AC unit so that I wouldn’t be frying in this heat. I ended up paying extra to have emergency HVAC services. I just couldn’t take the heat and felt like I would faint if I had to stay in the hot house anymore. When I paid for the emergency HVAC services they were able to send a heating AC technician out that same day and have it repaired, admittedly I do feel kind of bad for requesting emergency HVAC services when it wasn’t an emergency. However, I’ve always been sensitive to heat and I couldn’t take it without having an air conditioner.
