I had an interesting encounter with a heating and air conditioning technician today.
I was going around my house doing some cleanup.
I have three kids and they’re very good at making a mess so the house was pretty messy. I was picking up after them since they’re too young to pick up after themselves right now, and in the middle of cleaning the house, I heard a knock at my door. I quickly became curious because I was not expecting anybody to be coming over today, so I’m wondering who’s at my door. I went over to the door and answered it and sent him outside my door. There was a man dressed in a heating and air conditioning uniform and he was telling me that he was here to fix my heater. I was confused and I told him that I had never scheduled an appointment to have my heating system repaired. The heat and cooling guy looked equally confused when I told him this and then looked at my house and then looked across the street. Then he told me that he thought he had the wrong address and he apologized for the inconvenience. I asked him what else he was trying to get to and sure enough it was my neighbor across the street and he had the wrong house. He showed me the address of the house that he was supposed to go to and I pointed him to my neighbor’s house and he left. Having him come over and expect later like that reminded me that I needed to schedule my own Heating and cooling appointment soon. It’s been almost 6 months and I want to have my regular tune-ups.
