I have never liked the summer months.
- Actually, I have always preferred the fall.
I like the beautiful color of the fall and the way the leaves change, but the thing I like the most is how cool the temperatures are in the Autumn compared to how hot things are in the summer. Really I feel like I could handle pretty much every season except for summer. The reason I do not like summer isn’t just because of how hot it gets, but it’s also because of how many problems it gives my heating and air conditioning system. My whole HVAC system gets put under significant stress as soon as that heat rolls around. It always causes me so much dread to know that this year once again my air conditioning system could break down. I don’t like having to constantly run the AC in my house anyways just to combat the constant heat outside. The more I run the air conditioning system and the lower I put the temperature, the more my energy bill goes up. I do have a smart thermostat to help with energy efficiency, but even that isn’t always enough when summer comes around. Really I prefer if summer could just be a little bit hotter than spring and then that would be it. Unfortunately, that is not how it works here. I know a lot of people that are really big fans of Summer, however I am definitely not one of them. I don’t like having to constantly call out a heating and AC worker to come and repair my air conditioner that is broken for the third time, and I don’t like not being able to walk outside without feeling like I’m going to sweat to death. I’ll be glad when it’s fall and everything is much cooler.
