Dad was a pharmacist, and mum was a surgical pediatrician. At one time, they had both worked in this particular hospital, and mum had gone on to be the medical director. When she worked there, she always tried to fix issues on the ground and medically. My mother was surprised when the maintenance department at the hospital called the air conditioning company to request the services of an a/c representative. The air conditioner installation at the hospital took place a couple of months back, but they had noticed that the air quality was not the best. After they installed the new air conditioning system, the indoor comfort improved a few months later, and the quality had deteriorated significantly. It was unsuitable for a hospital, and they informed the air conditioning business. The air conditioning supplier took a team of qualified a/c workers and headed to the hospital for an a/c service. Part of the team handled the necessary a/c repair. In doing the air conditioning maintenance, they discovered that the a/c filter needed replacement. Evidently, the maintenance team had not followed through with the a/c care plan. The filter had trapped a lot of gunk and dirt that circulated throughout the hospital floor whenever the air conditioner installation was running. It was high time they took a/c care seriously. We replaced the filter and upgraded the regulator from a dial one to a digital thermostat.
