My brother and workout partner Larry was opening a new branch of his legendary gym.
Being part-owner of an air conditioning company and working as an a/c representative, he trusted my input regarding climate control units. We visited the building where his second gym would be. He had the idea of installing the same air conditioner as in the other gym, but from how the building was structured, he would not get the desired results since it had less airflow than the other one. I had one of the best a/c workers in our air conditioning business, Gwen, give him a rundown of everything he needed to know and the expected cost. Gwen prepared the list to take to the air conditioning supplier. During the last consultation, Gwen had everything ready, including a/c care and a/c service needed after the air conditioner installation. She was also in a hurry since she had to attend an event at her child’s school. Gwen also had her famous cupcakes with coconut cream cheese frosting. She had two dozen; one to take to school and the other for me, which I had pre-ordered. Larry ended up eating four of those cupcakes. A month after the installation of the new air conditioning system, and the gym was up and running, Larry asked for Gwen’s number, saying that he needed air conditioning maintenance and a/c repair since the indoor air quality in his house was not good. Months later, Larry was not only hooked to the cupcakes, but he had also fallen in love with the chef.
