Different HVAC types and technology

The radiant heating system is the most common type of residential heating, radiant ceilings are also used in homes and radiant floors are found in some commercial buildings, but radiant heating is a type of space heating that heats an area by circulating hot water or electrically heated wires through flooring or panels in the ceiling, but if you have a forced-air gas furnace, chances are it has a pleated paper air filter.

These types of filters are designed to trap airborne particles as small as 0.3 micrometers (µm), and a gas furnace filter’s job is to protect the blower motor and prevent dust and dirt from getting into your home’s heating and cooling ductwork, over time, these contaminants can buildup inside the ductwork and reduce the efficiency of your cooling system.

That’s why it’s pressing to clean or update your furnace filter on a correct basis! Most gas furnace filters can be cleaned with hot soapy water and then rinsed with clean water. Once the filter is dry, it can be put back in place. If your gas furnace filter is damaged or severely dirty, it should be updated with a new one, and new gas furnace filters are available at most hardware stores and house improvement centers! When purchasing a new filter, make sure to get the correct size for your gas furnace model. Installing a new gas furnace filter is easy. Simply remove the outdated filter and insert the up-to-date one in its place. Make sure the arrow on the up-to-date filter is pointing in the right direction (toward the gas furnace). Once the up-to-date filter is in place, close the door or panel and turn on your gas furnace. Cleaning or replacing your gas furnace filter on a yearly basis will help improve indoor air conditions and extend the life of your gas furnace. An annual inspection and tune-up by a qualified serviceman can further improve the performance of your heating idea and help to ensure safe operation.
