I wanted to purchase a new air conditioning unit.

I called the HVAC company last week and told them we were in the market for a new air conditioning unit.

I wanted to make sure we bought the AC unit when they were discounted and the HVAC company was getting ready for their new season.

They told us they had several models that were being discontinued and if one of them was what we needed, they would gladly deliver it and have it installed in the spring. We had the HVAC contractor come to the house and do the measurements and take the information they needed to fit us up with the right AC unit for our needs. They only had one AC unit that would work, and it had a SEER of 18 which the HVAC technician said was good. He explained that SEER was the way they measured the energy efficiency of an air conditioning unit. We were both happy with the AC unit, and the price was amazing. We asked what it was going to cost for delivery and installation. They were having free installation and delivery on all new HVAC systems and he said they could forgo the cost and set it up for whatever date we wanted it delivered. We saved nearly 50% off the cost of the AC unit when you calculated the savings on set up and delivery. We signed all the paperwork and we gave the HVAC technician a goodwill fee of $50 to hold the air conditioning unit until we could have it delivered. I made sure he marked the $50 down on the bill.
