I am a practicing real estate agent in my town. And as a realtor, I run into odd things inside homes. Especially those homes that were foreclosed on and that have been left abandoned for some time. There was one home that was filled with hundreds of pictures of cats. It was clear that whoever owned the home had a deep affection for the feline creatures. In addition to the pictures there were tons of toys that were also left behind. While this was quite odd, there was another home that had been empty for over a year. It was an older home in a more rural part of town. The home had a shed in the back and what I found blew my mind. It was the biggest beehive that I have ever seen in my life. Initially, when I discovered the hive, I had no idea how to proceed. I immediately took pictures and sent them to my business partner. He was also shocked at the size of the hive as he had never seen anything like that in his life. Ultimately, we needed to get the bee hive removed and I wanted to make sure that the bees could be relocated safely. So, we contacted the best beekeeping service in town to perform the bee removal. The next day when the beekeeper saw the hive, he too was shocked at how large it was. But the best part about the situation was that the colony of bees were able to be relocated without extermination. I am sure that I will always see other odd things as a realtor, but the massive beehive was one that I won’t forget.
