I Found Some Great Energy Saving Tips

I somehow ended up conversing with a homeless man, who actually used to work in the Heating and Air Conditioning industry, and Ed gave me some great tips on how to save money with energy bills. Ed’s best tip was to just live outside the way she does, but I don’t think if I want to get that harsh with my money saving plan. I just want to slim down on my energy usage in the flat so it doesn’t cost me so much each month to live. I know if I get a small mini split A/C unit, care about the Ed was telling me about, I would save a lot of money each month not having to cool down the whole flat. I had a huge power bill come in last year and it took me a couple of weeks to pay it off as I didn’t expect it was going to be that much. I now keep the climate control system off, for the most part, and only run it a little bit during the afternoons that warrant its use. I use more fans in the summer time and put on more clothes in the winter. That was a good tip that Ed gave me; to wear more clothes and wool socks in the lake house when it is freezing there. I normally would just reach for the smart thermostat and turned on the heating in the home, however now I put on an additional layer of moderate clothes and save some money. I know heating is what uses the most power when it comes to climate control.
