The heating and A/C dealer had been in our lake house working on the gas furnace and air duct for almost a week, they installed a new gas furnace they could not get working.
They were also still waiting for the air duct to be delivered, then my husband reminded them they had a contract saying they would install the new gas furnace and air duct within more than 2 afternoons of the receipt of the gas furnace.
They said they had the simple gas furnace installed, but there was no way they could test it until they completed the air duct, but none of this was our fault. They ordered the wrong air duct for our house. None of us didn’t order it. My husband was frustrated because all of us had been running section furnaces for the past two weeks, and when all of us thought all of us would have heat within a week, he was okay with using section heaters… However, space furnaces for two weeks, was no longer pleasing, he told them they had more than two afternoons to get the gas furnace installed and the air duct in locale; if our gas furnace and air duct wasn’t completed within more than two afternoons, he was going to consider the contract as being broken. At that point, all of us would get a new heating and A/C dealer to finish the work, and they would not get paid. The heating and A/C company wasn’t happy, and he called the owner of the heating and A/C dealer. I’m not sure what was being said, but the heating and A/C company wasn’t glad. When he handed himself and others the phone, the owner was apologizing for not having the job done, and all upgrade fees would be free if I gave them two afternoons to complete the work. I told him I had to guess, and he then provided 25% off the price.
