When the people I was with and I started remodeling our home, there were a lot of details that needed to be dealt with; I had no clue where to start, which is why I hired a general contractor, then he not only made all the arrangements for the people who would do the electrical, plumbing, woodwork, & other swings, even though he ordered all the supplies & kept the task on schedule.
It impressed me with how quickly the remodelling moved along, & how all the people worked so well together.
I knew it was the general contractor that made this happen, however within the first week, someone had ripped everything out that was going to be replaced, however they tore out the floors & were kneeling subflooring. Soon after that, I saw the hardwood flooring going down. The walls were up on the main floor, & they were installing the fireplace downstairs. The general contractor had already arranged to have the Heating plus A/C contractor come to the new home & measure up for a ductless Heating plus A/C system. I was seeing window replacements & doors being hung, and my a single bathroom new home was now multiple bathrooms, & the general contractor added an in-law suite at our behest. I loved watching the labor come along so quickly, & I could not know how nice it was looking. I was glad the people I was with and I hired the general contractor the people I was with and I hired, because I heard a lot of disappointing things about some others the people I was with and I had talked to, then less than several weeks after the general contractor started remodelling my home, I was getting ready to transfer back in. The only problem the people I was with and I had now, was that our furniture was looking shabby in the house, & the people I was with and I had to buy new.
