Even though I’ve lost all of my money in the wonderful land of trading, I still find joy and happiness playing music on the streets in front of bars with my bandmate.
I guess we don’t need much to be happy, just some kind of hobby that makes you feel good seems like enough to give you temporary happiness. Money is necessary for living in today’s world, but there is more to life than just numbers in a bank account. My HVAC company where I work supplies me with just enough money to get by. I think if I have what I need, like food and shelter, then the rest of my happiness comes down to doing something I love on a regular basis. I do some heat pump and space heater repairs during the day for my work, and at night I unleash my spirit and play drums and sing with my buddy. I’m going to try and see if we can get some gigs around town in the local businesses, but if that doesn’t work then we will travel to the big city an hour away and perform there. I just want to perform in clubs with good climate control systems so we aren’t freezing or hot during the extreme weather. I think I still have some good connections from that city so I am going to contact them and see what they say. I will go now and do some heating and cooling repair jobs for the HVAC business and then meet Danny to go practice by the beach later.
