I was wiping the dirt from my hands when I saw Chloe.

Even after the a/c rep, I assured her that the heat pump had a mechanical issue, which is why it produced a strange noise. It still didn’t set her at ease. She went ahead and called a different air conditioning business. The air conditioning expert asked what the problem was since she had called, saying she needed air conditioning repair, yet the cooling equipment was in pristine condition. Now that she realized that the noise had indeed stopped, she told him that she assumed it was time for an air conditioning tune-up. The whole time I was trying so hard to stifle my laugh. The expert did as asked, but when he finished, he said that it had been a long time since he came across such a clean system; even the air conditioning filter looked new. The cooling specialist assured her that her cooling products were in the best condition. The most she ever does when it comes to her HVAC unit is adjust the settings on her thermostat, which she does use her phone, and she leaves the rest to the air conditioning company. I keep telling her that she needs to learn more about air conditioning and cooling technology, but it is no use.
