One of the things I really like to do when I have free time on a Saturday or Sunday is go to a little small town and go downtown and just browse through the shopS. We have lots of little towns around us where I live, and most of them have a really cute little downtown area with little fun places to get unusual things. Just last weekend I decided to go ahead and go out to a little town about 40 minutes east of my house and just see what they had. They are kind of famous for having antique or vintage shops, and I really love vintage things so I decided to go see if I could save something from the landfill. That is when I discovered that I have very low tolerance for heat. It was quite hot outside, seasonably warm really, so when the thermostats were reaching high 80s, I got a little bit overheated. Walking from store to store was starting to feel like my internal furnace was burning with the heat of a thousand suns. That’s when I discovered the joy of opening up a shop door and having a little blast of air conditioning greet me with a smile. I truly began enjoying the air conditioning in the shops more than looking at the items in the shop. The AC was so enjoyable that several of us Shoppers will look at each other and go oh, it feels so good in here. air conditioning truly is a blessing, and although a lot of people consider it a luxury item, I believe that it has really become a necessary aspect of life.The AC was so enjoyable in one little store, a store that specializes in vintage books, I simply had to get myself a copy of something by Mark Twain.
