Right now as I sit here it is freezing cold outside.
There is snow falling and it’s continuing to build up on the ground.
Watching the snow accumulate on the ground is another sign that winter is officially here. All the leaves are bare, and all the grass is dead. With the cold winter, comes heat. Everybody at the local heating and AC business has been so busy scrambling to get their heating system tuned up before the real cold comes. Luckily I’m watching everybody rush to get their heating systems taken care of, but this is not something that I have to worry about because I already had mine taken care of in the fall. I wanted to make sure that my heating system was good for the cold winter months long before the winter arrived. I’m not one of the types of people who wait until the last minute to get things done, not when it comes to important things like Heating and cooling. I made that mistake a couple of winters ago and I learned from it because I didn’t have my heating system tuned up when I showed up and as a result of that I ended up having no heat in my house during some of the coldest winter months. It was not a fun time. I had to pay extra money to have an emergency HVAC technician come out to my home and take care of my heating system, meanwhile the entire time I was staying at a hotel. I had to stay longer than I wanted while my heating system was being worked on.
