It took quite some time to get back down here, but I vowed that I would get back to my lake household in the south & I finally did.
Honestly though, I didn’t know that it would take me retiring to make that happen.
But that’s where life took me & it has been a lucky life. I’ve honestly been blessed enough not to be trapped inside the same office with the same commercial Heating, Ventilation, & A/C for years on end. My work easily took me all around the world. Heck, I had offices that had nothing quite like the commercial Heating, Ventilation, & A/C my buddy and I take for granted. Occasionally, the best my buddy and I could do was an evaporative cooler to manage the heat… That sort of air conditioner is something my buddy and I call a swamp cooler down here. But finally, for the last multiple years of my work, I was brought stateside to finish up & groom a replacement, and yet, it was in our corporate offices way up north. I know dealing with a boiler or a gas furnace was more challenging than dealing with an evaporative cooler. I hate the chilly weather & consistently have. But these afternoons, that’s all behind me. I’m now back at the lake house & truly love the fact that I get to care about all this sun & I have a heat pump for my quality heating & air needs. Of course this time of year, that’s a moot point as my buddy and I don’t get much demand for heating from the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C devices when the temperature is near perfect. That’s just what winter time holds for me these afternoons. There’s all kinds of sunshine, clear skies & a heat pump for crispy, chilly days now & again.
