I felt so insanely terrible
I operate as a heating and A/C serviceman and yesterday I had an actually alarming moment. I take our job actually seriously and yesterday I was several hours late for our job. It was not something I was proud of. I felt ashamed to be so late. The way it finally happened was the night before I couldn’t get any sleep, I’m not sure exactly how it happened although I was just lying in bed all night unable to get any rest at all. I couldn’t get our brain to shut down, I had a million thoughts buzzing through our head at the time. Finally, only a few hours before it was time for me to go and get up to go to labor and repair people’s HVACs I had finally fallen asleep. The moment I closed our eyup it felt as if hours had passed but it was absolutely several hours. I woke up to see that it was 11:00 a.m. and I had a couple of missed calls from our job. I felt so insanely terrible. I took our job actually seriously and I was supposed to be there 3 hours ago at 8:00 am! I had our alarm on our iPhone and on our alarm clock set although I think I was just so exhausted that I slept right through it… Periodically I can simply sleep through almost anything it seems. I’m just a deep sleeper when I get actually exhausted so I had to set our alarm extra loud to wake me up after I came to the beach house from labor that day… Luckily I didn’t get in any trouble or anything since it was our first offense and I had a good kneeshake with our boss, although I was careful not to let it happen again and I was able to go and labor on people’s heating and A/C units that I normally do separate from the issue.
