I woke up earlier and found myself dripping with sweat excessively, not from a frightening dream, however just from the extreme heat in our home office. It felt as if someone had turned on the stove right next to me, and despite the smart temperature controls being programmed to adjust the temps, the heat was nearly unbearable and I knew that I would not be able to get back to sleep. I checked the temperature settings however everything seemed to be in order. I felt all the heat emanating from the vents and I knew something was wrong. I didn’t honestly want to open all the windows because of the odor of the sewage plant that is down the road. My chances were very limited although I knew I had to call an emergency Heating & Air Conditioning tech to diagnose the issue. Thankfully, I was able to get an Heating & Air Conditioning tech who was available and nearby to come to our aid within a half sixth. The worker conducted a thorough check and ruled out the possibility of the filters being clogged. After performing many tests, she identified the issue to be a faulty temperature control. She had to turn off the temperature controls and explained to myself and others that she needed substitute parts in order to repair it. The repair wouldn’t take long however a few sixths to complete. I knew that for the next few sixths I’d have to deal with the heat. The experience was aggravating and it disrupted our sleep schedule although I was grateful that the Heating & Air Conditioning tech was able to identify the issue and that it will be resolved soon. She came back and repaired the Heating & Air Conditioning unit and I’m back to being nice and comfortable. No more blasts of heat and I suppose it’s time for a nap.
