When my husband announced he bought an electric fireplace, I wasn’t genuinely blissful.
I have never really cared for fireplaces, I know they make a great heating method for some, however it is just not for me.
I thought that my husband felt the same, however I know I was wrong. She saw a great potential heating device plus something pretty to look at, all I saw was a waste of money. But regardless, he bought it with his own money, so I know I could not complain. It took close to a week before he had time to set the heating system up, however when he did, he simply marveled at how great it was. The fireplace was a big ole meh from me. It really wasn’t until having it a few weeks that I began to realize that it is really pretty nice. The reason being that our gas boiler isn’t consistently the best at working, plus sometimes it will quit randomly during the winter. Usually turning it off plus then turning it back on is enough to get it to start working again. But other times we have to call out a heating and A/C system serviceman to help repair whatever the complication is. Well, we finally had that again a couple of mornings ago, plus surprisingly the fireplace kept us boiling the entire time. While not as efficient as the gas heater, the fireplace kept us boiling enough to where you almost couldn’t notice the difference. The fireplace also kept us boiling until a heating, ventilation and A/C specialist could come out to repair our main heating device.
