They said I really wouldn’t mind the heat once my great friend and I got out on the boat! I may have agreed with them if Ed and I were moving all the time, and unfortunately, most of our time on the trip was at rest while people were fishing or scuba diving. I could not swim, and fishing was no fun for me. I spent most of my time trying to find shade and losing myself in a book! My fondest wish was that they had air conditioner on the boat. I would have settled for a great fan, but an air conditioner would have been much better. My brother Ed told me to try to have a little fun, but it was almost 100 degrees on the lake… Ed offered to get me a large tube so I could have fun in the water, even though I was terrified of drowning. It was Ed’s fault I could not swim, and every time I was in the pool, Ed wanted to play sink the whale, and I was the whale; Although I was four years younger, Ed didn’t care. I was the only other man in the pool with him. I didn’t even want to go in a kiddie pool if Ed was someplace near, but when Ed and I made the choice to go back to shore for dinner, I decided to stay back at the cabin, there was air conditioner inside, and I could relax, curl up on the bed, and watch television or read. I was finally enjoying my time at the beach, now that I was left alone with my air conditioner. Ed headed back out after dinner with my husband and our kids.
