For months, my friend Sam and I searched for a perfect beach home for rent, so my friend and I could take our teens to the beach with us. There were plenty of indoor things I enjoy, so my teens didn’t need to be out in the bright sunshine all afternoon. There were activities to do when the sunshine went down, and Sam and I brought plenty of games and things to keep them occupied. Sam and I found the perfect beach home that had been newly renovated and put our 2 week deposit down. The first afternoon Sam and I arrived, she and I were getting settled in, and only left the perfectly air conditioned beach home to go out to supper. The next day, Sam and I were heading out to the beach for a couple of hours, and then it was time to get out of the sizzling hot sun, then when Sam and I got back to the beach house, the air conditioning was off. I asked Sam if he had turned it off when my friend and I left, although he said no. I knew I hadn’t touched the temperature control. Sam called the rental office and told them the air conditioning component wasn’t toiling, but he told Sam he would have someone at the beach home within an hour. It was almost 4 hours later that I called again. The beach home was unbearable, and Sam and I got in the car to do some sightseeing, just to keep cool. She said someone had arrived, but Sam and I weren’t there. She had a key and should have assumed Sam and I would not stay there in a sizzling beach house. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C service tech arrived twenty minutes later; He said he had just been notified the A/C wasn’t toiling, or he would have been there 3 hours ago.
