I recently bought a remote sensor for my smart temperature control

What are you supposed to do when the temperature you live in abruptly becomes much more drastic and unrelenting than ever before.

  • My great friend and I have four seasons in my region, but all four are getting more drastic by the year.

Our Springtime is regularly a beautifully mild transition into a hot and humid summer. Unblessedly, we had a quasi-long winter time while in our normal Springtime months. Autumn and winter time beginning much earlier as well. But once we finally transition into summer time for the year, things actually beginning to get extreme. Last year the month of June saw heat waves enveloping areas like the Pacific Northwest that aren’t even used to those kinds of temperatures. I heard about people dying from heat exhaustion in 110 degree weather because they lived in homes that never needed air conditioning until the present afternoon. Some people tried to go out and buy air conditioners on the spot but were disappointed when they learned that all of the window air conditioners, portable units, ductless mini splits, and central Heating and Air Conditioning systems had all been bought up by others in their part with the same mindsets. I’m used to 100 degree weather in this part while in June, July, and November, but that doesn’t necessarily make it a lot easier to deal with when it results in high bi-weekly bills as I desperately try to keep it cooler than 79 degrees inside my house. I learned recently that my cooling system was struggling needlessly because the temperature control was installed on a wall that gets a lot of natural radiant heat throughout the high-sunshine hours of early to late afternoon. The heat made the temperature control think the apartment was as warm as that wall from room to room, so I bought a remote sensor for my smart temperature control. That way I can control where my temperature control reads the home’s temperature.
