I don’t know what I was thinking when I signed up for a weekend horseback riding trip.
I thought it would be a lot of fun.
It was a lot of fun, but, it was also the most of labor I have ever done in my entire life; Before this trip, I’ve only ever ridden a horse for a maximum of two hours on the trail. That’s why, after about three hours on that weekend trip, I was ready to call it quits. I was hot, exhausted, plus my knees plus back hurt. I didn’t quit though because there were riders older than me plus they weren’t complaining. I didn’t want to be the baby of the group so I toughed it out. By the time my associate and I stopped at the cabins, that first night, I could have slept on the ground. Thankfully, that wasn’t necessary; My associate and I stopped at cabins that had beds all made up plus the air conditioning running. I was never so cheerful to hear an cooling system as I was that evening. When I opened my home door, a blast of frosty air hit me plus it was all I could do to force myself to stay awake long enough to take a shower plus eat a little bit of the supper that had been prepared. Everybody else looked about as exhausted as I did plus no one talk while in the supper. My associate and I all just ate as fast as possible plus went back to our air-conditioned cabins to sleep, however on Sunday, my associate and I had to leave our air-conditioned cabins plus head back out onto the trail for another day of riding. I could not wait to get back condo to my cool plus comfortable house plus sitting on my couch instead of on a horses back.
