Summer goes by way too fast for my liking most years.
I always feel like the summer flies, even though the rest of the year doesn’t.
I don’t really understand why it is this way, but the fact of the matter is that summer is almost over and they haven’t done half of the things that I wanted to get done this year. I wanted to do a lot of new landscaping outside, and I also wanted to install a hot tub. Neither of those things have happened yet, and the summer is almost over! The only thing that’s good about the fact that this summer is almost over is the fact that the weather is probably going to start cooling off soon. We have had the hottest temperatures on record this summer and that is probably why I have not gotten very much done outside. The temperatures have been in the high 90s most days, and it’s just miserable outside. The last thing I want to do is go out there and melt away when I can just stay inside my house in the nice cool air conditioning. Even though I will be sorry to see the sunshine go, I have to admit that I am somewhat ready for the weather to start cooling off. I have been paying a fortune in air conditioning bills for the past three months and I’m definitely ready for all of that to be over with. I am looking forward to cooler days and nights. I also can’t wait to start using the outside fire pit and our new gas fireplace in the living room.
