My dad consistently used to tell me that the air conditioning would freeze over if I turned the thermostat down too much however I never believed him… Back when I was a kid, I thought that I knew everything and I just never legitimately wanted to listen to anything that my parents had to say. I thought that my dad was just cheap and she did not want to have to spend money the cooling bills. I thought that was why she did not want to turn the thermostat settings down any more than she did during the summer. I personally used to assume that it was pointless to have air conditioning in our condo if she wasn’t going to use it properly, then little did I believe that she entirely was using it properly. I was the 1 who wanted to turn the thermostat settings as low as they would go. My dad told me that the A/C would freeze over if I turned it down that low, however I thought that she was just making all that up. One afternoon when she and my Dad were out of neighborhood for something, I decided to test my theory. I turned the air conditioning plan down as far as it could possibly go and I left it running all afternoon and into the night. The condo was freezing freezing and it was glorious! I fell asleep, and by the time I woke up, I observed that it was warmer in the condo than it had been earlier. My parents were just coming in and sure enough, the air conditioning plan had frozen over. My dad knew instantaneously what had happened.
