I have lived in a cold climate for way too long and I cannot wait to leave.
A couple of weeks ago I signed the lease with a new apartment and I am just waiting for my move-in date. Finally, at last I will be leaving this horrid cold climate and be going somewhere much warmer. I have lived in a cold climate my entire life and I am ready to leave. I have never been somebody that enjoys the cold and every time that the cold comes around I will crank up my heating system. I’ll crank up my heating system to the point that my heating bills will be a bit ridiculous. You would think that I would be used to the cold by now, considering that I was born and raised here. But even as a child I never enjoyed the cold, and I didn’t even enjoy making snowmen because of the cold. Sure the activity of creative snowmen was fun and of itself when I was a kid, but it was hard to focus on the enjoyment when all I could focus on was the cold. In a way, I hate to leave because I’ll be leaving many of my family members behind. But I’m ready to move on to bigger and brighter, and warmer places. I have two weeks before I’m out of here for good and can enjoy the rest of my life living in a nice and warm climate. I will not miss having to have my furnace serviced and tuned up all the time just to keep it from breaking down during the winter, and I will not miss having to shovel snow out of my driveway. I’m counting down the days to leave.
