When I walked into work at the beginning of the week, I instantly realized that the air conditioner was not working.
The air conditioner usually has a distinct noise while it’s running, so I noticed that it was unusually quiet when I stepped into the store.
I checked our temperature control and it didn’t have any error messages on it. I went outside to reset the breaker because that usually fixes the problem when the air conditioner acts wonky, for some reason, the air conditioner didn’t come back on. I tried it a single more time, and once I accepted defeat, I called the number for our Heating and Air Conditioning specialist. She wasn’t able to come until the following afternoon, so the people I was with and I had to rent a portable air conditioner for the time being in order to ensure our clients were cool and comfortable. When she came the following afternoon, she told us that a single of the air conditioner parts had blown out and would need a full updatement. I’m blissful that I don’t personally pay the bills for the business because that a single small section costs hundreds of dollars to update separate from the cost of toil included. I’m blissful that the people I was with and I got it fixed abruptly though because I hated the noise of the portable cooling system unit. I work in a physical therapy studio with people who get dizzy lately and experience vertigo, so the last thing the people I was with and I want is for someone to experience heat exhaustion and completely fall out in our space. It can be upsetting sometimes, especially if people have to park far and walk to our studio.
