I was really shocked whenever I saw my friend Fran’s air conditioning vents the other day.
I went over there to try and help her out because she was stuck at work all day and her dog needed to be let out. I always try to help her out whenever I can, but I haven’t been inside of her house for a long time now. Up until that particular day, I was operating under the assumption that Fran was a neat and tidy person. However, when I got into our house, that whole idea of her really changed for the worse. When I went inside the house, I first noticed that I was having a hard time breathing. At first I thought that I was having a panic attack or something all of a sudden. But then I noticed that there was actually some kind of hair floating around in the air! The indoor air quality in my friend’s house was absolutely horrible. The reason that there was hair flying around everywhere was because the air conditioning had just turned on. It was hard to breathe inside of her house, and when I noticed the air conditioning vent on the kitchen floor, I realized why that was. The air vent itself was completely blocked up because of all of the dog hair in it. I began to wonder if Fran had ever vacuumed her house in the entire time that she had lived there! I have never seen so much dog hair in one place before. By the time I went outside, there was dog hair stuck to my pants legs, and I didn’t sit down or anything. It was just from walking around.
