When having a smart thermostat like I do, you need to get to know how to work it, what does what and how it operates. One thing I have learned about the smart thermostat that is very convenient is the fact that there is a red light that comes on when it is time for the batteries to be replaced. A lot of other smart thermostats I have seen do not have this. They just display words that say low battery. This is easily overlooked if you are not checking for it every single day of your life! But with the smart thermostat I have, this red light is really great because you can not help but notice the light when you happen to walk by the smart thermostat because it is red and very bright. This way, you can change the batteries in the smart thermostat long before they go dead and leave you without a heating and air conditioning system that is fully working. When the batteries in the smart thermostat go dead your central heating and air conditioning system will fully stop working. It will be like you had a heat and cooling unit breakdown. But when this happens you do not need to call the local heating and air conditioning company for them to send out a certified heat and a/c specialist to repair your central heating and cooling system! You just simply change the batteries in your smart thermostat and it will be up and running again right away. This is why I am so grateful for the red light on my smart thermostat!
