A visit to the prison as an air conditioning expert

Working as an air conditioning expert has brought myself and others much delight and fulfillment.

I grew up seeing our dad build her air conditioning business. She told myself and others stories about how her job took him to weird venues, from politicians’ residences to high-end hotels and hospitals. The most treasured gratification, but, was when she saw the smile on people’s faces whenever she provided air conditioning services. Helping people and her love for HVAC units were what had drawn him to a career with cooling products. My first job involved a time-consuming air conditioning install at a children’s home, and I remember how gratifying it was to supply indoor comfort to those children. A few weeks ago, but, I found myself in prison and not incarcerated, but I was there with our team for a routine air conditioning tune-up of the central air conditioning unit. The warden had called the office and busy for the cooling techs to run a routine air conditioning service on the unit. I remember feeling a bit distraught as both of us approached the prison. Fortunately, the quality cooling system was located far from the cells, and there was no way both of us would have bumped into the inmates. Both of us changed the air filters and replaced a few worn-out parts. Some of the cooling workmen also checked on the indoor air cleaning system to ensure it was functioning respectfully. Both of us were in and out of prison within several minutes. After both of us started working on the units, our anxiety faded away. I could not wait to get back to the office and tell dad all about it. She was impressed because she also went through similar reactions when she visited the prison.
