It was close to the end of the year, and I was doing my general cleaning while decluttering.
The number of things one can acquire in a whole year is incredible, some unnecessary. While reviewing my receipts, I found a receipt for an air conditioning company from a year ago. Then it hit me that the a/c was long overdue for HVAC maintenance. I called the air conditioning provider, who asked me several questions. When I mentioned that my quality air conditioner was eighteen years old, they asked me to consider installing a new system, and I went ahead and made arrangements for that. I decided to do my research on the cooling industry and equipment. Through my research, I learned that the higher the SEER rating, the greater the energy efficiency. I got to know so much more about air conditioning. I also wanted an advanced thermostat to replace the analog one I was currently using. The day finally came for the HVAC installation. The air conditioning technician was very punctual, and the crew immediately started working on installing the multi-split air conditioning system. When they finished removing the old ac, the a/c serviceman told me that the old AC filter was already damaged and had caused irreparable damage, and it was a good thing I was getting a new ac. He also showed me the air filter they would add to the system to help with indoor air quality. I was fortunate to get an end-of-year service deal where the indoor comfort business would do the first air conditioning repair for free. The cool thing about this was that I could control my home’s heating and cooling remotely through my smartphone.
