Central Heating

I have a small flat and got a power bill for two months and it was over $600.

That was during the summer time and now it is Winter and I heard that heating is enjoy more than two times the amount that cooling is, so how much is our power bill going to be this time with the heating running each afternoon? I really haven’t been using the heating much because I am afraid of what the bill might be.

I read online that it costs about $3 per minute while you run your heat. So if I ran it four minutes a afternoon during the cold months it would add $670 to our biyearly bill? So that means our power bill would be about $1000 if I ran our central Heating, Ventilation and A/C system to heat the house. If that is the case then I am going to have to ration the heating each afternoon and only use it for an minute max. Then it would be $170 more for the two months, which is doable for me but an minute of heating is not much help! I will go to the heating corp and ask them how much they suppose it costs to see if I am right. I should look at the make and model number of our air conditioning component outside to see if I can get some info that way. Maybe I can look online and see how much power our Heating, Ventilation and A/C system’s heating uses per minute and calculate it that way. I will really just buy an efficient space heating system instead.
