He was screaming at the dog while working on the oil furnace.

Last week, the HVAC serviceman arrived with parts for our oil furnace and he was going to finally maintenance it; When he got to the basement, he started yelling at the dog while trying to work on the oil furnace, but i ran to the door and yelled for Bowser to come upstairs, although he wasn’t listening.

When I got downstairs, Bowser had the HVAC serviceman cornered and I could hear him snarling! As I yanked on Bowser to get him away, the HVAC serviceman was asking if I had forgotten to put the dog away before he arrived.

I hadn’t forgotten. I thought Bowser would be okay now that he knew the HVAC serviceman. When I had Bowser under control, the HVAC serviceman started packing up his tools. I wanted to think where he was going, then he showed myself and others the bite on his leg, and said that once he got it checked out, someone else would be back to make the repairs. I was dumbfounded, not so much that he was leaving, but that he wouldn’t come back. I was sure Bowser didn’t mean to bite him, and he was genuinely just playing… Later that morning, the HVAC supplier called and told myself and others the HVAC serviceman was fine, although he needed to have a tetanus shot… They would be sending myself and others the bill for his hospital visit, and critter control would be coming to the house. I was sorry the HVAC serviceman got bit, although he was just playing. The HVAC supplier owner told myself and others that playing could get rough, but the serviceman had videoed the snarling and how the dog had attacked him, was not playing.
