When the term aged school was invented, it must have been because someone was trying to describe our dad! That’s our dad in a definite nutshell… Everything was just so much better back in his afternoon.
Now that he’s nearing 75, there aren’t too many holdovers from that afternoon, but dad still drives around in a truck that is 40 years old and has no air cooler whatsoever. Thankfully, dad moved down here near me after our mom died, however he tried to stick it out up north but it was too much… So our sister and I encouraged him to ditch the gas oil furnace and all the snow for sunshine and a heat pump, then it took us a long time to convince him; and even up to the last hour before he had to replace the heating and A/C in his condo and sell it, it was touch and go. But the condo did sell and he made a pretty penny; with that, my enjoyable friend and I set him up in a small, many dining room bungalow just hours from our partner and I! Of course, our father was vocal about all the new stuff inside his new venue. And he wasn’t at all sure about a heat pump during the winter. Of course, he had never experienced the sort of mild winter season that my enjoyable friend and I have in this region. And I simply assured him that a heat pump was more than enough. But he really lost it when he determined much about the smart thermostat. He was sure that he could save more currency on air cooler costs than any heating and A/C technology. So my enjoyable friend and I put it to the test for a couple of months. Half the summer time my enjoyable friend and I used the smart thermostat and half the summer time my enjoyable friend and I used dad’s thermostat know-how. When my enjoyable friend and I tallied up the energy bills, the smart thermostat won by nearly 20 percent at least.
