I used to assist my dad, the independent HVAC technician

I suppose that because my dad and I have always been close, it has been simple for us since he moved in with me.

My mother passed away when he was in his 60s. So that he could be close to his grandchildren, I had to persuade him to move in with my family and me. Dad was at home because he is retired, and we worried that he was growing lonely in the big house. He readily agreed to the move when we mentioned it, so my partner and I didn’t need to try to persuade him at all. We have a lot of incredible, happy memories together because I love my dad. I can still clearly recall helping my dad with his work when I was younger. He covered a huge area as an independent HVAC technician. I used to ride in his truck on the weekends and during school breaks, hold his tools, and when I was older, even assist with some repairs. During those trips, he always paid me and gave me valuable life lessons. People in the neighborhood loved Dad, so they always made sure to call him if there was a heating or cooling problem. Dad tried harder and harder to catch up as HVAC technology advanced. I recall introducing him to computers and the internet. In order to assist his heating and cooling customers with all of their systems, he wanted to stay current. Dad was the one who first installed smart thermostats in many homes. He would offer installation services to local homeowners after selling them on his website. Even though he is currently retired as a self-employed HVAC technician, dad occasionally fixes units.
