Time always seemed to be dragging itself either when one was having a bad day or was anxiously waiting for something.
That day I could barely sit still.
I had woken up early and finished the daily chores and some. My friends and I were going hiking, and then we would also camp there. I had even been doing some home workouts just to be in the right physical shape for the hike. The reason for my excitement was because it was the first time since the pandemic that we were all going out. Having been cooked up in the house for so long had given me a new appreciation for the outdoors. The previous night, I heard some strange noises coming from the boiler, and at around eight in the morning, I called the heating dealership. When the HVAC tech arrived, I told him all about the noises coming from the heater. Other than the heating repair, I also wanted heater maintenance. The scheduled HVAC service plan was three weeks away, but I figured I could kill two birds with one stone and be done with the heat and AC products for a while. The only thing I could comfortably do on my own about my electric heating system was to change the furnace filter. All my friends were busy sharing ways to fix some of the issues their furnace/heater installation systems faced. Still, I had little interest in the heating industry, and I always called the professionals. One of them even attempted to lay down the cables for heated floors. On the other hand, I was comfortable adjusting the temperature settings of the electric heating system from the wireless thermostat through an application on my phone.
